Sunday School

Sunday School at Southwood helps young people think about how to live out their faith every day, at home and at school, with their families and their friends.

Sunday School Ages & Class Times

  • 3 year olds (potty trained) - 5th grade -- 8:30, 9:45, & 11:00 (Lower Level)
  • Special Needs (mixed ages 3 years - 5th grade)  -- 8:30 (Lower Level)*
  • 6th grade - 8th grade -- 8:30 & 9:45 (Youth Room -- Lower Level)
  • 9th - 12th grade -- 11:00 (Youth Room -- Lower Level)
  • Adults -- 9:45 & 11:00 (Fellowship Hall)

*Special Needs Sunday School

Southwood offers a special needs Sunday School class at 8:30 a.m. during the school year. This class is a place where children of all abilities can learn about God, while giving their parents a chance to attend worship. The special needs class is led by an Occupational Therapist, Para Educator, Speech-Language Pathologist, and a School Psychologist all who work for Lincoln Public Schools. Members of our congregation who enjoy working with children with special needs also help with our Special Needs Sunday School.
