Music that complements the day’s message adds to the power of the spiritual experience of worship at Southwood. Organ and piano—combined with special music from vocal choirs, handbells, a jazz ensemble, and many vocal and instrumental soloists—create an eclectic blend of traditional and contemporary music.
This choir is for High School age and up. Senior Choir sings for worship approximately two times a month during September through May.
Join the fun as the men of the church display their talents. Men's Chorus sings for worship approximately once a month.
This choir for high school age ringers and up plays for worship approximately once a month. It is helpful to be able to read music notes.

Prize-winning organist, collaborative pianist, conductor and composer Anne Wilson will offer a introduction to the organ for children followed by a concert for children of all ages. This is a perfect opportunity to introduce a musically curious child to the King of Instruments.
Lincoln Organ Showcase will present a pipe organ demonstration for children on Sunday, Feb. 26, 3:00 p.m., at Southwood Lutheran Church, Lincoln. A recital for all ages will follow immediately, at 4:00 p.m. Concert organist and composer Anne WIlson will do both the demonstration and the concert, with special guest performer Tom Trenney. Please share the attached flyer with any other teachers and families who might be interested.
Children 18 and under are admitted free to all LOS events; for this concert, parents and/or other caregivers who bring children will be admitted for $5. Regular tickets are $15; seniors $10. Tickets are available at the door.
Anne Wilson is Organist/Director of Music at Forest Hill Presbyterian Church (Cleveland Hts., Ohio) where she directs five choirs and organizes a concert series. Active as a free-lance collaborative pianist for Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland Heights High School, Apollo’s Fire and other groups, Ms. Wilson is also founder/past president of the Cleveland Classical Guitar Society and a docent at the Cleveland Museum of Art. Ms. Wilson has won first or second prizes in seven national and international organ competitions and holds the American Guild of Organists’ prestigious Fellowship and Choirmaster certificates. She has presented many recitals and workshops at conventions of the American Guild of Organists, the Organ Historical Society, and the Presbyterian Association of Musicians. She has also been featured on National Public Radio’s “Pipedreams” program and Cleveland radio station WCLV’s Not the Dead, White, Male Composers Hour. Also a composer, Ms. Wilson’s works have been performed at such venues as the Chautauqua Institution, the Aspen Music Festival, the Julliard School, the Museum of Women in the Arts in Washington, D.C., the Amsterdam Cello Biennale, and conventions of the American Guild of Organists.
