As a “Listening Friend”, a Stephen Minister is trained to use their gifts to grow and serve in Christ.
After being trained, they provide quality, Christ-centered, confidential care to those in need.
A Stephen Minister:
- Cares
- Is a Christ-centered trained volunteer.
- Takes time to Listen
- Helps you Grow in Christ through difficult/challenging times.
A Stephen Minister is not:
- An ordained minister or have formal pastoral training.
- An Expert, but a caring Christian trained to help.
- A Judge or Jury—but an objective volunteer who helps identify feelings and emotions.
