  • ATTN: Stephen Ministry/Pastor Michael
  • A member of the Stephen Ministry Leadership team will contact you and set a time to visit, or interview about your application
  • Selected applicants will then attend Stephen Ministry classes that include 50 hours of training to become a Commissioned Stephen Minister
  • Classes will be held on Thursday evenings from 6:00–8:30 p.m., beginning September 27, 2012.
  • It is a recommended 2 year commitment, with on-going peer to peer training

As a “Listening Friend”, a Stephen Minister is trained to use their gifts to grow and serve in Christ.
After being trained, they provide quality, Christ-centered, confidential care to those in need.

A Stephen Minister:

  • Cares
  • Is a Christ-centered trained volunteer.
  • Takes time to Listen
  • Helps you Grow in Christ through difficult/challenging times.

A Stephen Minister is not:

  • An ordained minister or have formal pastoral training.
  • An Expert, but a caring Christian trained to help.
  • A Judge or Jury—but an objective volunteer who helps identify feelings and emotions.
