Not just this, but summer mission trips, retreats, mentorship opportunities, and leadership development help make up our ministry. In all of it a community forms that brings our youth to a deepening level of love for God and others.
Our Peer Ministers meet bi-weekly on Sunday mornings from 11AM–12PM in the Group Room.
SWLYG strives to be a loving and inclusive community to all. We invite students to apply to our Peer Ministry leadership team. Peer Ministry is a style of leadership that is focused on caring, welcoming, and affirming every neighbor. We, as Christians, believe that we are all called to a vocation of loving others.
Peer Ministry is more than a bi-weekly meeting! It's learning relational faith skills with face-to-face practice, being mentored in and modeling those skills, living in an intentional culture of people caring, and welcoming and affirming others every day, everywhere and in every relationship.
