"Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit." (Matthew 28:19 NLT)
Baptism welcomes us into God’s family, as we are named and claimed as God’s own. Whether you’re one day old or 100 years old, everyone is invited. Regardless of age, God is there with open arms. Older youth and adults are invited to meet individually with one of Southwood's pastors in preparation for baptism. For more information, download the baptism brochure, or pick one up at Southwood Central.
Scheduling a Baptism
Come unwrap God's gift of Holy Baptism. At Southwood, we ask that parents having children baptized attend a Faith Stepping Stones class to reflect on the meaning of baptism. At this class, we share resources that show you how to share God's love with your child through daily routines. Classes are offered bimonthly.
"I remember just being overwhelmed with emotion at Rowyn's baptism—overwhelmed with love for Christ, my new child, and the fact that she was "officially" becoming part of God's family."
